“Sociographic topic was the main reason I came to filmmaking,” explains Adam Csaszi. “Not many filmmakers were willing to address what is going on in Hungary. I was upset about that. The role of the Artist is to comment on what is actually happening in their society. Nobody was addressing this in my country. Ever.”
Established in 2007, the Iris Prize Film Festival, Cardiff’s International gay and lesbian film festival is the only festival offering the short film prize, the only one of its kind in the world which allows the winner to make a new film. The festival is an annual event and takes place in Cardiff, Wales. In 2014, the 8th festival will run from 8th October to 12th October at Cineworld Cardiff.
