In the 2007 film Shelter, Trevor Wright delivers a dramatic performance as Zach, an aspiring artist who has put his life’s goals on hold when shouldered with the burden of caring for his 5-year-old nephew due to his sister Jeanne’s failure as a parent.
During one summer, Zach meets Shaun, a writer based in Los Angeles who also happens to be the brother of Zach’s best friend, Gabe. Zach and Shaun begin as friends, but gradually their relationship evolves into much more. Eventually, the budding romance between Zach and Shaun becomes public, and Zach finds himself conflicted, even challenged by some of those around him, particularly his sister Jeanne, who fears Zach;s relationship will have an adverse affect on her 5-year-old son.
Born August 23, 1982, Trevor Christopher Wright is a Los Angeles based actor and model best known for his award-winning role as Zach in the movie Shelter, written and directed by Jonah Markowitz. This defining role earned Wright the Best Male Lead award at the Dallas Out Takes festival, as well as Best Actor and Audience Award at the Tampa International Gay and Lesbian Film Festival.
Trevor Wright’s career began with an appearance in a Paula Abdul music video for the song “Forever Your Girl,” in which Wright played the role of a young James Dean alongside Elijah Wood. Trevor Wright went on to make appearances in two music videos by artist Stacie Orrico, including 2003’s “Stuck,” and “I Could Be The One” in 2004.
Wright has also made numerous television appearances, including roles in NYPD Blue, George Lopez, Scrubs, Boston Public, and Roswell. Notably, Wright was hand-picked by George Lopez for his role as Zack Powers, which lasted for 5 episodes in 2004.
An accomplished film actor, Wright also appeared in Memories by Joe Frank (1993), Vacancy 2: The First Cut (2008), 2001 Maniacs: Field of Screams (2010), and the successful film The Social Network (2010), where he starred alongside Jesse Eisenberg, Justin Timberlake, and Andrew Garfield, among others.
In addition to acting and modelling, Wright enjoys a variety of activities near his southern California home, including skateboarding, surfing, and snowboarding.
